I have been a volunteer for about 20 years in Calabria where, because of ignorance and sometimes malice, dogs are often kept in chains, poorly looked after or even worse used for fights or just abandoned, especially puppies. We often find them in fields, in landfills or in boxes in front of houses. People do not understand or do not care about the importance of neutering.
In recent years, with the help of Furry Rescue, I have saved many dogs and puppies of all different breeds, especially hunting dogs, because hunters when a dog is no longer needed or not good enough, just gets abandoned. We do our best, but sometimes we find a wall in front of us, nobody listens to us, but we continue because the love and respect for the dogs is immense.
