Hello everyone! Let me introduce myself: my name is Stella.

I wandered for three days through a small town in Calabria, in southern Italy, looking for something to eat and a place to take shelter.

People looked at me with fear and suspicion: someone chased me away, others threw food at me from a distance. But I didn’t trust anyone, I was scared… human hands had always let me down.

Then, one day, a woman saw me. Her eyes were different: no fear, no judgment. She approached me slowly, without forcing me, as if she understood that I needed time.

She didn’t chase me away. She spoke to me gently and for the first time in days, I felt a little bit safe. “Come with me,” she said in a calm voice. And even though I was still scared, I understood that she just wanted to help me.

Now, as I’m waiting for my happy ending, I’m staying at her home with other dogs and cats who also need a family.

As you can see, I’m really a wonderful dog: gentle, polite and sociable with people, dogs, and cats.
