Take in one of our furry friends!
Give them love and care while they wait to find their forever home.
Through temporary fostering, you can look after an animal and introduce them to the warmth of a home and a safe, healthy environment while they wait for permanent adoption.
All of our dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, have received their rabies vaccinations, hold a pet passport, and have been tested for leishmaniasis!
Your help is essential for animals in need!
HOW IT WORKS
If you’ve decided to try temporary fostering, you can contact Chiara, our coordinator, straight away. She will guide you and help you choose the right furry friend based on your schedule and needs.
Support from the Association
Our furry friends are usually in good health, but if they ever need medical care, we cover all veterinary expenses. If you would like to contribute towards some of the costs, such as flea and tick treatments, we would be very grateful.
How long does the foster period last?
It can last anywhere from 1 to 3 or 4 months, depending on various factors, but we require a minimum commitment of 2 months.
If major problems arise that prevent you from continuing to foster the dog, we are here to help rehome the dog to another foster home. However, we always try to avoid this where possible, as the dog has already suffered enough and we prefer not to move them again.
Why Choose Temporary Foster Care
You can enjoy the experience of having a furry friend, even if you cannot adopt one permanently. It can also help you get to know yourself better!
You will play a key role in helping the animal overcome past suffering and disappointment, allowing them to begin a new life.
You will help the animal get used to living in a family environment, increasing their chances of being adopted.
“What if I fall in love with him?”
If you do fall in love with your foster pup, we would be absolutely thrilled for you!
We also offer a foster-to-adopt program. Even if you begin as a temporary foster parent, you can always choose to adopt them permanently!
