Hello everyone! Let me introduce myself: my name is Matilde.

In May 2025 I was found all alone, abandoned in a mountainous area of Calabria, in Southern Italy.

I was hungry, exhausted, with a heart full of fear… just looking for a little shelter.

So I timidly approached the gate of a house, but… I didn’t know what to expect!

Instead of being chased away, I found someone who chose to look with his heart: a kind man who started leaving me fresh water and food every day.

I was so scared that I only came closer when he walked away.

Then, little by little, with patience, respect, and kindness…

That man earned my trust.

And one day, I finally found the courage to step into his yard.

I was finally safe!

Today, thanks to him, I’m rediscovering the beauty of human kindness.

As you can see, I’m truly a little miracle—sweet, cheerful, friendly with people and other dogs… I’m ready to find a family who will keep believing in me.
